 The Imagination Machine was founded in 1981 in the city of Orange by Deborah Wren. As a working musical theater and improv actress she always had a desire to do more with her craft. The concept for The Imagination Machine came to her, and she knew she had to act on this wonderful idea. She invited a group of like-minded friends to help her, and within the year they had a handful of bookings at local schools. Now, almost 30 years later, The Imagination Machine can be found in all of Orange County, Riverside County, and parts of San Diego and San Bernardino County as well. Now the company reaches almost four hundred schools a year, with three different companies of actors going out to schools each day. Wanting to take things to the next step, The Imagination Machine is now expanding with a company devoted exclusively to the LA county area. The Imagination Machine LA is excited to reach out to children from all walks of life, and hopes that someday soon the company can grow even more. The Imagination Machine LA is just the beginning of this exciting growth spurt. |
